Intelligence report

Hmmm... the Doctor has ethical problems, Seven enters into a doomed relationship, Kathryn wrestles with the Prime Directive and the Federation shows itself to be a model of civilisation (when compared to these backwater primitives). Sound familiar?

This season, the Doctor seems to do nothing but have ethical dilemmas. Robert Picardo is an excellent actor and the dilemmas are meaty but it's already too repetitive. Likewise Seven of Nine. Jeri Ryan is an excellent actor and the doomed relationships are meaty but it's been done before. Likewise Kathryn's Prime Directive dilemmas, likewise the Federation's moral high ground. You can look back through Voyager's seven seasons and find echoes all the way. You can look back through Star trek's four series and find echoes all the way.

Nevertheless, Repentance is a good, meaty drama if you're coming into Voyager for the first time, or after a long break away.
