Episode propaganda

The Enterprise is diverted from its assigned course by Doctor Thomas Leighton (William Sargent), who claims to have manufactured a new synthetic food. This ruse is designed to lure Kirk (William Shatner) into confirming that the actor Anton Karidian (Arnold Moss) is, in fact, Kodos the mass murderer, believed by some to have escaped justice...

Intelligence report

Uh-oh, Shakespeare on TV.

I would've thought that TV people would've learned by now that Shakespeare (and theatre in general) doesn't work on TV. Sigh.

The basic idea, that a mass murderer is masquerading as an actor (of the ham variety) is interesting, but, gee, the performances are just too annoying. There are some really good bits, but the crappy theatre stuff pulls it down. Watch only to see the Observation Lounge, the last appearance by Lieutenant Kevin Riley, or if absolutely desperate for entertainment.

Security censorship classification

PG (Low level violence)

Not for public release in Australia before date
