An orbiting space station explodes moments after Riker has transported from it to the Enterprise. There is one death, scientist Apgar (Mark Margolis). His widow, Manua (Gina Hecht), accuses Riker of murdering her spouse and seducing her. The holodeck is the ideal location for the inquest, displaying the evidence in all its confusing dimension.
