The arrival of a naked and powerless Q (John de Lancie) on the bridge of the Enterprise is undoubtedly cause for concern. Captain Picard has to weigh his natural distrust of Q against Q's plea for sanctuary - the races which Q has toyed with now want their revenge. At the same time, the Enterprise has an impending planetary catastrophe to deal with.
