Intelligence report

Golly goodness, I don't know where they came up with the idea to do a mafia film on Star trek but it's certainly an interesting one. Not one that works as well as I'd prefer but interesting nonetheless.

The best part of this episode is its darkness, not only from the ethical point of view but because there is a seamy side to the UFP that is not often seen. The Orion Syndicate is a festering menace that threatens the very fabric of the Alpha Quadrant. That the Dominion is involved just makes it even nastier.

O'Brien's dilemma is delightfully painful, even though I didn't really enjoy this episode. But perhaps I wasn't supposed to.
