Entering a spatial anomaly, Dax (Terry Farrell), O'Brien (Colm Meaney) and Bashir (Alexander Siddig) are shrunk to the size of insects. Matters become worse when their lifeline to the Defiant is severed by a Dominion attack which leads to the capture of the Starfleet vessel. The three tiny people must defeat the full-size occupying force to rescue the Defiant and avoid having to remain minute for the rest of their lives...

Ah! Spatial anomalies! What would Star trek do without them?
Despite the rather limp premise, the action gets underway with great abandon as Jem'Hadar start bouncing off the walls of the Defiant. And there's something new and interesting going on with them which adds spice to the mix (don't worry, I won't spoil it for you) (all right, yes I will: there is a new species, the Alpha Jem'Hadar, bred especially for the purpose of capturing the Alpha Quadrant, and they view themselves as superior to the out-moded Gamma Jem'Hadar). There is also the introduction of humour, something which rarely happens on DS9, but at least they do it with the second-best pun in Star trek.
A camp little episode (if you're not sure what camp means, ask your gay friends) that entertains well enough for a wet and miserable Saturday afternoon.
