Meanwhile, O'Brien (Colm Meaney) is chasing Cardassian voles loose on the station and causing damage. Complicating everything is the discovery of some subspace mass and the possibility that it may be a universe in its own right...

A look at the Trill culture and Jadzia's personality that isn't quite enough to fill out an episode so they added the subspace mass to jazz things up and the voles for a few quick laughs. Definitely not one of the better episodes, although you do get an insight into being joined. But that's about all you get. Very disjointed (no pun intended).
