Over a drink at Quark's, middle-aged widow Alsia (K Callan), tells Martus (Chris Sarandon), how she plans to invest her life savings in a large mining concession. Just as Martus offers to become her partner, Odo arrives and arrests him - for swindling a couple on the station. Martus is locked in a holding cell and meets a sickly alien named Cos (Albert Henderson), who laments that he lost everything he ever had because of a gambling device that always brought him bad luck. Intelligence report
One of those filler episodes, kind of like a dose of methadone to a heroin addict (and Trekkies are addicted to Star trek, aren't they?) Seven seconds of character development surrounded by technobabble problems waiting for technobabble solutions. Ho hum.Watch it if you have a thing for Bashir in tight clothes.
