These are the adventures of Deep Space Nine (DS9)... remote and abandoned Cardassian outpost, stationed at the very edge of the known universe. Alien intelligence has created a wormhole in space itself giving unlimited access to another quadrant of our galaxy thousands of light years away. This intragalactic wormhole interests the warring, power hungry Cardassians who seek it for their own evil ends. Starfleet Commander Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks) and his crew are assigned to manage the station and assist in repairs leading to an eventual entry of Bajor into the UFP. When the Cardassians learn of the wormhole, DS9 is dragged to the brink of war.
