Evil never looked so good.
In this dark, disturbing psychological thriller, 14-year-old Ellie Christianson (Julia Stiles) is the stereotypically rebellious teenager, constantly threatening to leave her dysfunctional family home.
Her father Ben (Billy Moses) is cheating on his wife Karen (Chelsea Field) with the nanny, Inger Christianson (Vanessa Zima), while her mother is having an affair with the next-door neighbour, Lawson Smith (Patrick Muldoon), whose wife has just left him. Amongst all this chaos, Ellie harbours a twisted desire to play house and become her father's partner.
When her cheating mother mysteriously turns up dead, bludgeoned to death by one of several community suspects, Ellie has the perfect chance to step into her mother's shoes, literally.
Also starring Michael Parks as Detective Boland, Louise Myrback as Lena, Linda Hart as Mrs Potter and Amaryllis Borrego as the radio dispatcher. Written by Eric Weiss, directed by Michael Steinberg.
