Whatever, wherever, whenever, whoever. Just get out of their way.

Tough, gritty and funny, Whatever is a critically acclaimed coming of age drama that takes you back to the glorious, painful days of high school, where every moment is high drama and the prospect of becoming an adult is both thrilling and terrifying.

Set in the early 80s, Anna is an aspiring artist and her best friend Brenda, who exerts a gravitational pull towards trouble, careen across the minefield between adolescence and maturity at the tail-end of high school. Things erupt as they hang out with the wrong crowd, explore sex with the wrong guys and judge their parents with the wrong eyes.

It's a young Thelma & Louise meets Fast times at Ridgemont High, fuelled by punk and new wave hits by The Pretenders, The Ramones, Blondie, Iggy Pop and David Bowie. Whatever is a powerful, hip and happening story of two teenage girls breaking free of their troubled suburban lives in a decade that just couldn't say no.
