At its core is the real life mystery of famed 1930s British composer Peter Warlock, constantly at odds with his arch rival Phillip Heseltine, a music critic obsessed with serving scathing criticism onto Warlock's work.

When both fall in love with the same woman, it brings their irrational hatred to a head, and it becomes apparent that one is suffering a debilitating psychological disorder. But just what is the secret behind their psychotic rivalry? Or is it possible that they are one and the same?
