Have no fear. Underdog is here!
The superhero canine with a gift for rhyme returns in an all new live-action re-imagination of the classic cartoon, Underdog.
After an accident in the mysterious lab of maniacal scientist Dr Simon Barsinister (Peter Dinklage), an ordinary beagle unexpectedly finds himself with unimaginable powers and the ability to speak. Armed with a fetching superhero costume, Underdog (Jason Lee) vows to protect the beleaguered citizens of Capitol City and, in particular, one beautiful spaniel named Polly Pure-bred (Amy Adams). When a sinister plot by Barsinister and his overgrown henchman Cad (Patrick Warburton) threatens to destroy Capitol City only Underdog can save the day.

Special Agent Matti
Underdog is a very disappointing film; it never gets off the ground. It is underwhelming. This is not a superhero as much as a subhero.
There are many moments when you expect something original (or, at least, unusual) to happen but nothing ever does. That's right, there's nothing original (or even unusual) about Underdog. It's as if someone wrote a movie for 5-year-olds and forgot to put in the interesting stuff for the adults; to look at it another way, someone wrote a great movie for the whole family and then took out the interesting bits.
Underdog is good for occupying kiddiewinks but rubbish at entertaining the baby-sitter.
The comedy, family, superhero movie Underdog is directed by Frederik Du Chau and stars Jason Lee, Jim Belushi, Amy Adams.
