The bitter break-up, the unexpected encounter, the legend lives on...

New York, 1976: Paul pays John an unexpected visit...

While Paul McCartney (Aidan Quinn) is in New York to play a series of sell-out concerts with Wings, the city is buzzing with speculation of a Beatles reunion. But even promoters offers of outlandish sums of money cannot penetrate John Lennon's (Jared Harris) self-imposed isolation from the world.

So six silent years after The Beatles' acrimonious split, Paul arrives unexpectedly at John's apartment. Initially distant and hostile, John is wary of his old friend. But gradually, as their bittersweet day of hurt, anger and humour unfolds, they confront their differences and get back to where they once belonged - two friends from Liverpool.

It is then, in the spirit of renewed togetherness, that they impulsively prepare to give New York the musical shock of all time...

An intimate portrayal of two of the most influential figures in music history through a fictional event that has become almost a legend in its own right.

Also starring Ric Reid as the TV interviewer, Martin Martinuzzi as the limo driver, Neil Foster as the concierge, Joe Bostick as the elevator attendant, Jeremy Tracz as the political activist, Ian Ryan as the dreadlocked man, Scott Wickware as Officer Francis, Robert Seeliger as second officer, Louis Di Bianco as Luigi and Heather Hodgson as the woman with dog. Written by Mark Stanfield, directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg.
