Three young Navy officers hit Sydney for one last night on land before being shipped over to the Gulf to fight. Sam (Ewen Leslie) has been mistreated at sea and is going AWOL, Dean (Toby Schmitz) has a fiancée and the future in-laws to meet, and Harry (Matthew Newton) just loves playing cards. Throughout the night the boys lose each other, find themselves, and along the way discover courage, friendship and redemption.

Three blind mice is a modest film of the kind that young men create only after they've done their thing with a crime caper. It's a drama but it's a blokes' drama. There are relationships but they're all fucked. Marriage is something to avoid. Alcohol is something to overdo. Sex had better be available or there'll be trouble. Throw in some dirty jokes, a small adventure and a good fight and you've got the perfect night out.
