Be careful what you wish for.
It's the second Monday in September, a day Leonard Helperman (Shaun Flemming), your average fourth grader, has lived in fear of because his mother, Mrs Helperman (Debra Jo Rupp), is the fourth-grade teacher! Oh, the teasing, the torments, the taunts of "teacher's pet" that await this poor kid who just wants to be like everybody else.
Meanwhile, Spot (Nathan Lane), Leonard's secretly, abnormally intelligent dog, is tired of staying in the house all day. Suddenly, he puts down his paw and declares, "I do not wish to be a dog!" The spunky pup throws on Leonard's clothes, rises up on his hind legs, and becomes Scott, the newest, coolest fourth grader. Everyone is diggin' the new kid, but Leonard is suspicious. And then it hits him - aaahhhh! The new kid is his dog!
