Sweetwater: a true rock story

Threat advisory: Under evaluation

Movie propaganda

Swinging America, 1966, and a small-time, small-town band, playing at a bar in anytown, USA, discover Nansi Nevins (Kelli Williams), a hippy-chick with an incredible stage magnetism. With Benny Hartman (Mark Murphy) as their fast-talking promoter, the path to Woodstock beckons. But things happen when you're on the road: nerves shatter, dreams evaporate and idealism last as long as the next hit. This is the story of what happened to Nancy, her friends, the fate of Sweetwater and the lost America of the 60s - with a soundtrack that's bound to take you back on the road to Woodstock.

Also starring Amy Jo Johnson as Cami Carlson, Kurt Max Runte as Alex del Zoppo, Robert Moloney as Fred Herrera, Nancy Moonves as Mrs Nevins, Michael Rawlins as Ian, Adam Ant as Todd Badham, Michelle Phillips as Nancy Nevins (present day), Frederic Forrest as Alex (present day), Trevor Roberts as Alan Malarowitz, Peter Williams as Albert Moore, Zak Alam as Jorge, John Burgess-Murray as August Burns and Ingrid Tesch as Mary Nevins.
