Theatrical report

A sequel that's every bit as good as the original.

The CGI has advanced in leaps and bounds and it shows in Stuart Little 2; there are some scenes where you aren't sure how much is real and how much is fake. The birds, especially Falcon, look more like a documentary than the result of 20 geeks sitting at their keyboards.

The story is lightweight enough for young kids to carry without burden but complex enough for adults to sit through for an hour and a half. The gags are hilarious on all sorts of levels. The characters are not entirely three-dimensional but the acting more than makes up for that.

Stuart Little 2 is a guaranteed fun time for everyone who sees it, even the grumpiest old film critic you ever read. Enjoy it!
