When she broke her silence, they tried to break her.
When conservative Clarence Thomas (Delroy Lindo) is nominated by the President of the USA to the Supreme Court, news of his nomination reaches law professor Anita Hill (Regina Taylor). Outraged, she agrees to talk about her experience of working with Thomas. She claims she was the victim of his crude remarks and sexual harrassment. It is a secret she has kept and never forgotten. Thomas furiously denies the allegation. The battle begins when the confirmation hearings get underway and the presidential administration's spinmeister (Mandy Patinkin as Kenneth Duberstein) attempts to keep other accusers from coming forward.
