You're never too young to spy.
Alex Rider (Alex Pettyfer) is a normal teenager who lives with his uncle, a nondescript bank manager, or so it seems, until Uncle Ian (Ewan McGregor) dies in mysterious circumstances. Alex discovers his uncle was in fact a spy and had been murdered by Yassen Gregorovich (Damian Lewis), one of the most dangerous assassins in the world. Recruited by Mr Blunt (Bill Nighy) and Mrs Jones (Sophie Okonedo) of the Special Operations Division of MI6, the schoolboy realises that by encouraging his hobbies, his uncle has thoroughly prepared him for a career in espionage. Linguist, scuba diver, mountaineer, crack shot and martial arts expert, Alex has all the attributes to make the perfect teenage super-spy. Armed with his own special gadgets he embarks on his first mission.

Special Agent Matti
The first thing that you notice about Stormbreaker is that Alex Pettyfer is hot. And not just hot, I'm talking hot.
Then he starts running around, hitting people, blowing things up, creating mayhem and saving the day. What a legend.
Meanwhile, the movie gets a bit books-for-teens in some places (like the evil mastermind bent on world domination, and then there are his freaky henchpersons) but mostly it's a blast. Not up to the level of Harry Potter but what is?
