Kat Ellis (Debra Messing) must return to her parents' London home for her little sister's wedding and has to confront her ex-fiancé, who dumped her two years before. In a desperate attempt to face the ordeal with dignity, Kat hires top-drawer male escort Nick Mercer (Dermot Mulroney) to pose as her new boyfriend, only to realise that pretend relationships could be more nerve-racking than facing up to the truth.
