The world's greatest team of sled dogs - Diesel, Scooper, Nana, Yodel, Sniff, Mack, Duchess and Demon - are about to get a new owner: Miami dentist Ted Brooks (Cuba Gooding Junior). When Ted finds out that he's been named in a will, he travels to Alaska, thinking he's going to be rich, but his dreams of wealth turn to mush: he's been left the racing dogs, who have got it in for him. Making matters worse is the crusty mountain man thunder Jack (James Coburn), who can't wait for the city slicker to hotfoot it back to warmer climes. as Ted's life goes to the dogs, he vows to learn to mush, no matter what it takes.

Theatrical report
Mostly harmless.
Snow dogs is a traditional G-rated Disney film that's fun for the whole family with a little bit of excitement that's not too scary for the little ones. There are cute fluffy animals, a silly man from the city who gets stuck in the country, a pretty girl for him to fall in love with and some lovely landscapes. The morals are conservative (boy meets girl, boy gets girl, boy marries girl) but you can live with that given that the school holidays always need a film at which you can drop the kids off while you get in a bit of shopping and a quick cappuccino.
