Life happens when you least expect it.
Written by British first-time screenwriter Angela Pell, and set in the middle of winter in Wawa, Ontario Canada, Snow cake is an engaging and original story which explores the odd friendship between a high-functioning autistic woman named Linda (Sigourney Weaver) and Alex (Alan Rickman), a quiet, brooding man traumatised after being involved in a fatal car accident. Alex comes into Linda's life following a personal twist of fate.

Snow cake is a quiet little Canadian drama about lumberjacking, snow, guilt, alternative mentalities, redemption and the amazing co-incidences that happen when you go to another country while having psychological difficulties that can be resolved when someone else is doomed to repeat your issues.
