There are two sides to every story. Helen is about to live both of them ...at the same time. Romance was never this much fun.
Gwyneth Paltrow plays London publicist Helen Quilley, effortlessly sliding between parallel storylines that show what happens if she does or does not catch a morning train back to her apartment. Love. Romantic entanglements. Deception. Trust. Friendship. Comedy. All come into focus as the two stories shift back and forth, overlap, then surprisingly converge in the most provocative romantic comedy in years!
Also starring John Hannah as James Hammerton, John Lynch as Gerry, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Lydia, Zara Turner as Anna, Douglas McFerran as Russell, Paul Brightwell as Clive, Nina Young as Claudia, Virginia McKenna as James' mother and Kevin McNally as David. Written and directed by Peter Howitt.
Special Agent Matti
Her character is a nicely pathetic typical chick who doesn't know what she wants, hankers after the wrong guy, stuffs up her love life, etc, etc. It's a Cleo kind of thing. While the situation ("What if?") is not original, this film is still very entertaining. You can easily slide along the grooves, letting the ebb and flow of the story carry you along. It's got some nice drama, some nice moments, some good laughs and some great accents (Gwyneth's especially).
While this is basically a chick flick, guys can still enjoy it for the Gwyneth factor.
