This might hurt a little.

If you want to stay healthy in America, don't get sick.

Following on the heels of his Palm d'Or winning Fahrenheit 9/11 and his Oscar-winning film Bowling for Columbine, acclaimed filmmaker Michael Moore's new documentary sets out to investigate the American healthcare system. Sticking to his tried-and-true one-man approach, Moore sheds light on the complicated medical affairs of individuals and local communities.

Theatrical report

If you thought that Medicare was crap just be thankful that you're not subject to the Seppo system. I'm still finding it hard to believe that doctors won't treat the sick without checking for insurance first, or that the insurer can order treatment to be withheld until you go to one of their own hospitals. Bugger that for a joke.

Meanwhile, Sicko is a really funny film (laughter being the best medicine) even though Michael Moore hams it up all the way through - most of the jokes are at the expense of the USA (hee, hee, hee) government (ha, ha, ha) politicians (ho, ho, ho). If you can't laugh at them, there's something wrong with you. No matter how much you hate Michael Moore, anyone who takes the piss out of government the way he does gets my vote.

The documentary, health care movie Sicko is directed by Michael Moore.
