Movie propaganda
Marty Preston (Blake Heron) finds a wounded dog in the middle of a wooded area. When the dog begins to follow him home, Marty is incapable of turning away the forlorn animal. But Marty's father (Michael Moriarty) suggests the beagle probably belongs to Judd Travers (Scott Wilson), and the right thing to do is to return it.
As punishment for running away, Judd cruelly kicks the dog and says he'll shoot it if it ever runs away again. Marty says it's wrong to be cruel to a dog, but Judd says the dog is his property and he can do anything he wants to it. Heartbroken, Marty returns home with his dad...
