When the king becomes ill, an evil Lord hatches a plot to kill the king and steal his daughter, Princess Yaya (Mie Hama), away for a forced marriage.

Sukezaemon "Luzon" Naya (Toshirô Mifune), an adventurous sailor and a mysterious wizard set out to rescue the kingdom but in their way are a powerful witch, a band of ruthless pirates and the Imperial army.
