Rocky Marciano
Threat advisory: Under evaluation
Movie propaganda
In a field of some 300 boxing champions, Rocky Marciano (Jon Favreau) is the only undefeated champion in any weight class in the history of gloved boxing. An Italian-American, he grew up in an impoverished town in New York, where his father Pierino (George C Scott) worked endless sweat-filled hours in the local shoe factory. Determined not to follow in his father's footsteps, Rocky sets his sights on another path and turns to the ring as his big ticket out.Inspired by the courage of the great Joe Louis, whose fights the young boy followed during family nights by the radio, Marciano submerged himself into a world of discipline, courage and determination to the ultimate heights to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Also starring Penelope Ann Miller as Rocky's wife and Judd Hirsch.
