Theatrical report

Rock star is This is Spinal Tap without the satire.

Mark Wahlberg does a great impression of a white trash redneck heavy metaller (it's not that big a shift from his own past) while Jennifer Aniston plays the white trash rock chick girlfriend with scary accuracy (someone on that crew spent a lot of time in boob tubes).

There's nothing astounding in Rock star: you get a lot of time listening to heavy metal - the soundtrack is waiting for you at your nearest music store - and watching big hair boys prancing around in tight leather pants while showing off their rock star abs. It's not the mid-life crisis of Still crazy nor the eye-opening extravaganza of Almost famous but it will still entertain you even if you aren't a metal-head.

PS: Check out the spelling mistake in the first location title; you do not add an apostrophe just because a word ends with s.
