A single act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other -- and to the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." The Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life the worlds of "Avatar" and "Lord of the Rings" is breaking new ground, creating a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence, and epic battles on which rest the upended destinies of man and primate.

Movie Review
Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a surprisingly good movie. Its not the typical wam bam action sci fi we are led to believe from watching the trailer but a well crafted movie with a great storyline enveloping the observer with every emotion. There's the romance between Will and Caroline and the relationship Will has with his father and the Ape Ceasar who he brings up and eventually has to let go. The action really doesn't get going until much later in the film and thats when all hell breaks loose as the Apes led by Ceaser wreak havoc on San Fransisco. At times the story is a bit slow but for the most part its well done the CGI effects are mind blowing and you will really think that the Apes have evolved.
