Movie Review
Red Dog is a brilliant Australian movie. It's set in the beautiful Pilbra area. Sumptuous shots of the region abound. The story is about Red dog a kelpie who roams the countryside never really having a home and choosing to live with multiple owners. He ends up in the mining town of Dampier where everyone vies for his affection and the whole area adopts him as their own. Stories emerge of Red everywhere. There's lots of laughs as the eclectic mix of characters each recall their time with Red Dog. It's an emotional roller coaster as Red has a few brushes with fate. The movie moves along quite smoothly with clever flashbacks of Reds adventures. This a must see film for all and just a word of warning you will need to bring along a tissue or two.
