The greatest threat to his future was his past.
New York mobster Sal Veronica (Stephen Baldwin) is close to being indicted for mob crimes unless he testifies against crime lord Paulie Amato. Sal, who believe sin a code of honour, is reluctant to turn state's evidence, but Paulie isn't taking any chances and orders his men to kill him. Sal escapes, but soon realises that he has no choice but to testify against his former boss and enter the witness protection program.
