What would you do for a second chance?
Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Helen Schulman, PS is an offbeat romantic fable centring on 38-year-old divorcée Louise Harrington (Laura Linney). As a college admissions counsellor, Louise opens an application folder from someone with the same last name as her college sweetheart, Scott Feinstadt, who died in a car crash. Upon meeting the boy, the resemblance is undeniable and Louise cannot tell if she has gone mad, if this is a joke or some sort of miracle. Just as Scott and Louise's relationship heats up, her best friend (Marcia Gay Harden), self-involving ex-husband (Gabriel Byrne) and neurotic mother (Lois Smith) begin to complicate matters. Louise struggles to prevent history from repeating itself in this disarmingly lovely and romantic film.
