The wild, untold story of Ozploitation!
Before the censor's axe...
Before the critics' attacks...
Before the Brazilian wax...
Not quite Hollywood is the wild, wonderful, untold story of "Ozploitation" films.
It irreverently documents an era when Australian cinema got its gear off and showed the world a full-frontal explosion of sex, violence, horror and foot-to-the-floor, full bore action!

Theatrical report
Not quite Hollywood is an important documentary about the Australian filmmaking industry of the middle 20th century. If you are a film student it gives you a great quickie look at life before Aussiewood, not to mention some of the most horrendous fashion choices in the history of cinema. However, even though it's a must for cinephiles it has little to recommend it to the average punter.
The Australia, documentary movie Not quite Hollywood is directed by Mark Hartley and stars Leigh Whannell, Sigrid Thornton, George Miller.
