Theatrical report

Pulp video.

Cashing in on the coolness of filmic intertextuality, and the ability to spot it, Midnight 5 is more about other, bigger, better films than it is about itself. It borrows a lot from Kevin Smith's Clerks in that it's set entirely in a video shop and its car park and realtes the horrors of sub-adult wages for menial jobs. The only light relief comes from the frequent waving around of guns and shooting of innocent bystanders.

Feel free to watch Midnight 5 if you need to take your mind of the realities of life and want to engage in some vigilante violence.
