What happens when sex games turn deadly?
As a series of ritualistic sexual killings go unsolved, homicide detective Catherine Palmer (Ellin Barkin) is brought in to the investigation. Following her instincts and questioning a friend of the last victim, Palmer's search for clues lead her to a surprising discovery - a group of affluent, bisexual women who indulge in sadomasochistic practices... and a psychiatrist with more than a professional interest in the women he treats.
As Palmer's search for the killer intensifies and she is drawn deeper into the group's secret world of passion and pain, Mercy races towards its chilling climax.
