Protecting the Earth from the scum of the universe!
They are the best kept secret in the universe.
Working for a highly-funded yet unofficial government agency, K (Tommy Lee Jones) and J (Will Smith) are the Men In Black, providers of immigration services and regulators of all things alien on Earth. While investigating a series of unregistered close encounters, the MIB agents uncover the deadly plot of an intergalactic terrorist who is on a mission to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies currently in residence in New York city.
In order to prevent worlds from colliding, K and J must track down the terrorist before the Earth is destroyed in the bargain. They are our best, last and only line of defence.
They work in secret and they dress in black.

Theatrical report
Snappy, snazzy, rootin', tootin', lean, mean alien stomping machines. And that was just the first five minutes.
If you're a big fan of the comic on which this was based, then you'll be really upset because it got Hollywood-ised along the way (big surprise), the darkness and violence being transmuted into humour and slime. You know what I mean.
But if you've never even heard of the comic, then this will be for you. It's Mission: Impossible meets Independence Day meets Lost in space meets Ghostbusters meets Boyz in the hood. Scary thought, huh? A couple of wise-cracking secret agents running round the country shooting things and having fun (like they do) all in the pursuit of truth, justice and the American way.
It's pretty to look at, funny to watch, funky to listen to. It hits smack, blam in the middle of the movie-going demographic. It's a great evening's entertainment. You can even quote some of the lines to your mates as you leave the cinema. I recommend a McPig-out beforehand, and the purchase of large quantities of popcorn, maltesers and coke to maximise your enjoyment during.
