Art + Politics = Power

It's 1918 in Munich and Max Rothman (John Cusack), celebrated art gallery owner meets fellow war veteran and aspiring young artist Adolf Hitler (Noah Taylor). Max takes Adolf under his wing and encourages him to paint. But Adolf, unsuccessful as an artist transfers his energies to politics where he finds an outlet for his crude beliefs, proclaiming to Max that he has found a new form of artistic expression and that "Politics is the new art."
