His world. His rules.
After a depressing first day of school, much-bullied seventh grader, Max Keeble (Alex D Linz), finds out that he's moving to a new city in a week. Rather than put up with the normal routine of school, he starts getting revenge on all the people who have picked on him. After creating all kinds of mayhem, Max finds out he's not moving after all and must face up to the consequences of his actions.

When a film uses "science" as a plot device that science had better be correct or the film loses out in a big way. Pheromones, used in Max Keeble's big move to attract hordes of creatures to the school principal, do not work that way. They are species specific, that is, they only attract other members of the same species. Goat pheromones attract other goats of the appropriate sexuality (male goat pheromones attract heterosexual female goats and homosexual male goats). This film is supposed to be about schooling and they can't even get that right!
What's worse is that Max's school has two bullies, one psychotic and one economic. I never suffered from bullying, nor did anyone who went to the same schools as me. It seems that in the USA, every school and every year has a bad seed. It's surreal. It's also unreal. There can't be THAT many bullies in the USA.
On second thought, check out George Bush and Iraq; if that's not bullying, what is? (Not that Iraq is blameless, just that Bush's behaviour is less than sociable).
Max Keeble's big move is a children's story told from the point of view of a child: from that perspective it has a lot going for it, just remember that not everything you see in the movies is true.
