Movie propaganda
Something wicked this way comes.
Macbeth (Sam Worthington), a loyal henchman to his crime boss Duncan (Gary Sweet), is told by teenage witches that he will one day assume a position of great power. His ambition fuelled, Macbeth confides in his beautiful drug addicted wife - a woman mad with grief over the death of their young child. On hearing the prophecy, Lady Macbeth (Victoria Hill) hatches a plot to kill Duncan so Macbeth can take leadership of the gang for himself. Obsessively in love with his wife, Macbeth cannot resist her murderous plan and everything is set to explode...
Geoffrey Wright takes Shakespeare's classic and creates a mad, bad, drug-fuelled ride through a contemporary criminal underworld. Even with the addition of guns, fashion, and a thumping electronic beat, the message of the story is as relevant today as it was 400 years ago - sex and power do make the world go round.
