To get a date with the guy of her dreams, one girl is really going overboard...
When high school senior Jenny Riley (Amanda Bynes) misses her chance to meet her pop idol Jason Masters (Chris Carmack), she longs for another chance. That summer, working at a Hawaiian resort, she stumbles into Jason who is staying there. Willing to do anything to be alone with him, she gets a job on a cruise ship that she knows he will be on. When she tries to talk with him, he falls overboard and she dives in to save him. Unnoticed by anyone, they are swept away to a deserted island, or so they think. Jenny discovers that the island is actually just the opposite side of her resort but fools Jason into believing that they are stranded. Things get even more complicated when Jenny's rival, Alexis (Jamie-Lynn DiScala), finds out what she is up to and pretends to be shipwrecked too and they both compete for Jason's affections.
