Set during the warring period of the three kingdoms, ancient China is in turmoil. To unify the country Cao Cao (Jian Wen), the real power behind the emperor, attempts to enlist the formidable General Guan Yun Chang (Donnie Yen) into his forces. Guan’s loyalty however lies with Cao Cao’s political enemy and when he refuses to change sides, he is deemed too great a threat to live and must now face all the forces at the emperor’s command sent to destroy him.
