Dream the extreme.

Two brothers are about to experience a summer they will never forget.

Life hasn't been easy for Skeet (Jeremy Sumpter) and Randy Dobson (Eric Christian Olsen) since their dad died. With mother Jessica (Stacy Edwards) working, it's often up to older brother Randy to take care of 12-year-old Skeet, hardly the image for a hard-core surfer.

But as long as Skeet behaves, Randy lets him tag along with him and his buddies Willy (Giuseppe Andrews), David (Archie Kao) and Zach (Lukas Behnken). Each of the friends has their own troubles to deal with, including a threat by Willy's father to ship him off to the marines. All their worries disappear as soon as they hit the beaches of Southern California for those long, glorious summer days of surfing.

When a gang of hoodlum surfers steal their boards and try to move in on their home break, a bitter rivalry erupts. The battle only intensifies when the sexy Samantha (Shelby Fenner) turns down the gang's leader, Da Cat (Chaka Forman), in favour of Randy.
