Little Jerusalem (La petite Jérusalem) - Fanny Valette, Elsa Zylberstein, Bruno Todeschini, Karin Albou
Threat advisory: Under evaluation
Movie propaganda
In the suburbs of Paris there is a neighbourhood known as "Little Jerusalem" because of its large population of Jews. Laura is 18 and Orthodox Jewish. She is torn between the closed world of her religious upbringing and her studies in European philosophy, which offer a very different view of life. Albou's semi-autobiographical film is a tender look at adolescence that argues for the supremacy of passionate love over intellectual theory and religion.
