Theatrical report
Y' know, I wouldn't want to be the bad guy in this one, wondering who this Wilson is, and why he causes such a stir among my minions. One thing the bad guy would know: Wilson is not a happy camper.[NB: Wilson is not the same Wilson that starred in Cast away - Director of Intelligence]
In a way, The limey is very much like Payback - a crim comes back to exact revenge on crims that have no honour - except that this guy lost his daughter and was only looking for the truth. Poor guy. Then again, crime doesn't pay. Remember that, kiddies.
I really liked The limey. Terence Stamp shows true grit in the grimly determined pommy dad. The only thing that gave me pause is that the USA doesn't like having ex-cons enter the country (there are enough of them there already), so how did Wilson manage it?
Hmmm... maybe crime does pay...
