Legends of the fall
Threat advisory: Under evaluation
Movie propaganda
After the fall from innocence the legend begins.
Colonel William Ludlow (Anthony Hopkins), an erudite officer, retires from service to rear his three sons, Alfred (Aidan Quinn), Tristan (Brad Pitt) and Samuel (Henry Thomas), on a Montana ranch just before the outbreak of World War I. All three young men fall in love with the same woman, but the story concentrates on the quest for meaning of middle son, Tristan, as he tries to reconcile his instinctive feeling for the wilderness with the corrupting tendencies of the modern industrial world.
