What actually happened that night in the woods?

In December of 1995, Steven Avkast (Stefan Avalos), Locus Wheeler (Lance Weiler), Rein Clackin (Rein Clabbers) and Jim Suerd (Jim Seward) ventured into the Pine Barrens of New Jersey to do a live broadcast of a popular public access cable TV show called Fact or fiction. Their intent was to seek out the legendary Jersey Devil on live television.

The next morning, however, Jim called police to report the other crewmembers missing. The police eventually found the bodies of two of the three victims, the third being assumed dead as well.

The police and district attorney's office believed they had their killer... the only man who made it out alive... the only man who had the opportunity to commit the crimes... the man who had the blood of all three murder victims on his clothing... Jim Suerd.

One year later, filmmaker David Leigh (David Beard) decided to make a movie about it.
