Movie propaganda

The film Courtney Love doesn't want you to see...!!

Who killed Kurt Cobain? That's the faintly spurious mystery at the root of Nick Broomfield's wildly funny, angry, provocative film. Broomfield visits the scene of the crime, sleuths around Kurt's old stomping grounds in Seattle and Portland, questioning ex-girlfriends, family and hangers-on.

Theatrical report

Everything they say about Kurt Cobain's death is true, but that may not make it real.

This film looks at as many of the theories as can be imagined, and more American wackos than you would want to imagine. It's no wonder the world is so messed up if the only superpower left is breeding citizens like these. They make Aunty Pauline seem sensible.

But the scariest aspect to this film is the influence someone like Courtney Love can have on the media. With an army of lawyers, spin doctors, publicists and heavies, she managed to convince one of the film's backers to pull their money out halfway during filming. And then went on to present a speech at a freedom of speech dinner. She really needs to work on her sincerity.

This is a spooky, trashy, nasty, scary, weird, horrible film that everyone who ever heard Teen spirit should see.
