Theatrical report
Ok, so life in Afghanistan sucks. If it's not the Russians, it's the Taliban. If it's not the Taliban, it's the Yanks. If it's not the Yanks, it's the warlords. If it's not the warlords, it's the desert. I'm surprised that there even is an Afghanistan. Aren't you glad that you live in a privileged First World socialist Western democracy?
While The kite runner is an interesting story it doesn't get the struggle across as well as Turtles can fly (Lakposhtha hâm parvaz mikonand). Good but definitely not great. I'm sure that the book was better.
The Afghanistan, drama movie The kite runner is directed by Marc Forster and stars Shaun Toub, Khalid Abdalla, Mason Hsieh.
