Movie propaganda
Based on the novel by legendary pulp writer Jim Thompson, Michael Winterbottom's The killer inside me tells the story of handsome, charming, unassuming small town sheriff's deputy Lou Ford (Casey Affleck). Lou has a bunch of problems. Woman problems. Law enforcement problems. An ever-growing pile of murder victims in his West Texas jurisdiction. And the fact he's a sadist, a psychopath, a killer. Suspicion begins to fall on Lou, and it's only a matter of time before he runs out of alibis. But in Thompson's savage, bleak, blacker than noir universe nothing is ever what it seems and it turns out that the investigators pursuing him might have a secret of their own.

Theatrical report
The killer inside me is one on the most psycho films I've ever had the privilege to watch, and it's mostly down to Casey Affleck. This is the best performance I've seen him give. He is creepy. And cute. And nasty. And sweet. And sexy. And sexy.
The whole film is sexy. And nasty. By the end, you'll feel all sexed up but afraid to let it out in case something bad happens. Something you can't control. Something that you know is wrong but which seems so right when you do it. Mmm... dirty little secrets.
Is it a good thing for a criminal to be brought to justice? The correct answer is yes but The killer inside me makes you question that... question. Do two wrongs make a right? Is revenge a dish best served cold? Can the law give you justice? Does justice give you peace?
You don't want to like this film, but you will.
The crime, thriller movie The killer inside me is directed by Michael Winterbottom and stars Bill Pullman, Casey Affleck, Elias Koteas.
